We accept personal checks, cash, and all major credit and debit cards for payment at the time of service. You can also pay with Google Pay, Apple Pay, CashApp Pay, or securely online through Square.


In Minnesota, many major medical insurance plans include coverage for an annual eye exam. We accept most major insurance carriers, including but not limited to:

  • Preferred One

We will do our best to verify your insurance before your appointment so there won’t be any billing surprises.

What about Vision Plans?

Madelia Optometric is not in-network for any stand-alone vision plans (VSP, MetLife, EyeMed, Spectera, DavisVision, etc.). This is a decision we have made because the business model of vision discount plans does not match the mission of Madelia Optometric. In order to be successful with vision plans, an office must sell product (glasses or contact lenses) to almost every patient almost every year. In our office, we will never recommend new glasses or contact lenses unless you need them. We value your hard-earned money and won’t ask you to spend it “just because.” 

Many vision plans do have out-of-network benefits, and we will work with you to maximum these benefits as much as possible. We believe that you will find that you will wind up spending less with our office.

What if I don’t have insurance?

We strive to keep all of our prices reasonable. We are happy to set up credit-card guaranteed payment plans for product and offer a discount for the uninsured. We also accept CareCredit.
