OPTOMETRIC FRONT OFFICE PERSONNEL: DIRECTOR OF FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Our office is currently open Monday and Wednesday from 9:00am – 5:00pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am – 6:00pm, Fridays by appointment only. Hours are very flexible – part-time to full-time. The most important hours for us are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons.
RATE OF PAY, BENEFITS:
Rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience, minimum $14.00 per hour. We comply with all state and federal laws for small businesses regarding minimum wage, overtime pay, child labor, etc.
Benefits include paid holidays, paid vacation, and a comprehensive eye care benefit package as well as a SIMPLE retirement plan (maximum 3% match). Benefits are open to all employees prorated based on hours worked. We do not currently offer health insurance for any of our employees, although we are open to exploring that option.
As a healthcare provider, up-to-date vaccination against COVID-19 and seasonal influenza is required. Medical exceptions are permitted. If a candidate has not fulfilled this requirement upon hire, a plan must be in place.
Front office reception: greeting patients, answering telephone, scheduling patients, gathering insurance information, etc.
Financial duties: making daily deposits, accepting payment from patients, processing insurance, etc.
Computer work: high level of familiarity with computers required. Primary computer usage is with RevolutionEHR, a proprietary eyecare program. Training will be provided. Tasks include preparing patient forms, entering patient information, basic spreadsheet work, online contact lens ordering, scheduling patients. A computer skills assessment will be administered before employment offer is extended.
