Comprehensive Vision and Eye Health Examinations
A comprehensive vision and eye health examination at Madelia Optometric involves much more than the "which is better, one or two?" that you may recall. From the minute you enter our office, we are looking at your eyes as part of your whole body. More >>
We use modern, cutting-edge technologies and diagnostic techniques to keep our patients' eyes at their peak performance.
This simple yes/no questionnaire helps us get to know the visual needs of our new patients, and get to know them as patients. Why do we ask if you hunt with a muzzle loader?
Your examination continues with our trained and experienced staff in our automated testing room. These instruments provide information about your prescription, corneal health, peripheral vision, and general health.
Dr. Davis will check your prescription and examine the external and internal structures of your eyes to diagnose any signs of disease.
Dr. Davis will review all of the information and test results to make a recommendation concerning your eye health and visual needs. This may include glasses, contact lenses, LASIK, cataract surgery, vision therapy or prescribing medications for eye infections, inflammation, or glaucoma.
Treatment of Eye Disease
Dr. Davis has extensive experience in the treatment and management of eye disease. Some common systemic diseases also affect the eyes, so it's important to have regularly scheduled comprehensive eye exams to help detect and treat these diseases early.
We offer a wide range of contact lenses to fill your prescription needs, and we have years of experience in fitting contact lenses for special cases.
Got something in your eye? Ouch! We can help with that.
Infant and Pediatric Eye Examinations
Dr. Davis completed one of her internships at a pediatric specialty clinic in Seattle, so she has years of experience with eye exams even for the youngest patients.
During your regular eye health examination or an emergency exam, Dr. Davis may recommend surgery for cataracts, macular degeneration, or acute injuries. After your surgery, Dr. Davis can continue to perform most of your follow-up care in the Madelia office, so you don't have to travel as far.
